Bridgestone/Firestone Picks Pro-Cut's PFM 9.0 SmartLathe for Company Stores

Pro-Cut International has been tapped by BFS Retail & Commercial Operations, LLC to supply its Pro-Cut PFM9.0 SmartLathe to its network of 1,600 Service Centers throughout the United States.

 

Paul Ebert, national accounts representative for Pro-Cut, oversaw the BFS evaluation of the lathe. "The shops were blown away by the speed of the machine," said Ebert, "there was an immediate shift in how they approached brake work. All of a sudden they had the Pro-Cut on the front line and the bench lathe was sitting dormant."

 

Bridgestone/Firestone becomes the largest aftermarket service provider to commit to computerized on-car technology for all their stores. "Being the first national chain to provide the Pro-Cut experience to their customer base will give BFS a real advantage versus the competition," said Ebert, "they'll have not only a higher quality repair, but a lower cost basis for that repair."
