Nissan Recommends Pro-Cut PFM 9.0 in Service Bulletin
September 17, 2002
Nissan North America has recently released a Parts & Service Bulletin that specifically name the PFM 9.0 as a recommended tool for their dealer base.
Bulletin NPSB/02-015, dated September 3, 2002 alerts dealers to new full-sized truck and SUV vehicles that will be introduced to the product line in 2003 and recommends tools and equipment required to efficiently service this new line of vehicles. The Pro-Cut PFM 9.0 is the only on-car lathe cited in the bulletin.
"These larger vehicles that Nissan is introducing create a whole new set of challenges for the dealer," said Bruce Prince, national sales manager at Pro-Cut. "In addition to equipment needs, the bulletin also cites shop layout issues which should be addressed. These vehicles won't even be available until mid to late 2003 yet Nissan is already laying the groundwork with their dealer base."
"More and more vehicle manufacturers are recognizing the value that the Pro-Cut on-car lathe can bring to their dealer base, " added Prince. "We've been working with the Big 3 US manufacturers for a long time. It's rewarding to have more and more of the foreign manufacturers come on board."
Pro-Cut International markets the Pro-Cut series of on-car brake lathes including the VBG620 and the PFM9.0 SmartLathe, as well as the award winning Discus Rotor Measuring System. The company is located in West Lebanon, NH.
